Selected Engagements
Getting involved when the opportunity, the people, and the circumstances make sense.
Throughout my career, I've worked with founders, investors, business owners, and leadership teams on opportunities that don't always fit neatly into a traditional role or category.
Sometimes that has meant helping a company raise capital or develop an important relationship. Other times it has involved evaluating an opportunity, working through a strategic problem, opening a new market, structuring a transaction, or becoming more directly involved in helping move a business forward.
WWR has been the vehicle through which I've pursued many of those opportunities.
The Situations
I'm most interested in situations where something meaningful is happening.
A company may be entering a new stage of growth. A founder may be working through an important transition. A business may need capital, partnerships, relationships, or another path into a market. An opportunity may exist that hasn't yet been fully recognized or developed.
There isn't a single formula.
What matters is whether there's a real opportunity, good people involved, and a meaningful way for me to contribute.
How I Get Involved
The role follows the situation.
Depending on what's needed, my involvement has included business development, strategic partnerships, capital relationships, transaction support, market expansion, negotiations, and working directly with leadership on important business priorities.
In some situations, the engagement is focused and specific.
In others, I become much more involved.
I don't try to force every opportunity into the same structure because different businesses need different things at different times.
What I Bring
More than three decades across financial services, lending, capital, entrepreneurship, partnerships, and business building have given me a broad network and an equally broad frame of reference.
But experience is useful only if it helps produce an outcome.
I tend to be most valuable when a situation requires some combination of relationships, commercial judgment, persistence, strategic thinking, and the willingness to take ownership of getting something done.
The objective is always the same: create momentum around something that matters.
The Right Fit
I'm selective about where I spend my time.
The people matter. The opportunity matters. And there needs to be a genuine reason for working together.
I'm particularly interested in businesses and situations where there is something meaningful to build, solve, expand, finance, or advance and where experience, relationships, and execution can make a difference.
Sometimes that begins with a defined opportunity.
Sometimes it begins with a conversation.
The best engagements usually reveal themselves from there.
